16TH JULY - BLUE LAGOON AND FLIGHT TO LONDON
WHAT WE DID:
A bus took us from the guesthouse to the Blue Lagoon, we left our luggage on the bus. After a few hours in the Blue Lagoon a bus took us to Keflavik airport, where we took our flight.
COMMENT:
The Blue Lagoon is quite enjoyable and it's probably best to see on the day of departure as it's quite near the airport. It also seemed relatively cheap by Icelandic standards. It is quite a big area where you can also pick some mud, go to a sauna and swim around looking for warmer/cooler spots. You can also get a massage, but you have to pay for those.
Flying to Stansted we got good views of England. I had to sleep in Stansted Airport to catch my flight to Rome the following morning and I was surprised to see how many people were doing the same thing.
